We went back to CHOP this morning for the first post op check on Maeve's eye. Everything looks good. He commented that it looks very swollen b/c they removed a lot of scarring from the last time they did this surgery. She did have some scarring on her eyelid, but you had to get pretty close to see it. So, I 'll be curious to see what it will look like when it heals up. I can already tell that it's open wider than before. She got the okay to return to school tomorrow--that means Mommmy has to go back to work
! We have to go back again next Monday (nothing like making a 45 min. drive that takes about 60 min. in rush hour for a 10 minute appointment ).

I am glad to hear that all looks well and she is healing nicely. I know what you mean about driving for nothing- it seems like we spend more time in the car on appointment days than anything else! I hope her return to school (and yours
) goes well.

I just looked at her surgery thread... can you post a pic of her now? I'd like to see the change from pre to post with no swelling. I'm sure she looks great tho...
